Client Review on Beacon Tax Services

Chris phone me after writing the review below and requested a meeting with me. He saw my point of view and refunded me the 52$ extra. He also took the time to explain his point of view about why the price increase - which I understood as well. I can't speak for Chris but I felt we both walked away feeling a lot better about the transaction and our future business together. Did our 2015 taxes with them, the price was 252. Did them this year the price jumped a whooping 50$!! (even though the procedure is exactly the same as last years.... ) When questioned about why the big hike, Chris said that HR Block would be more expensive, and said that they had to enter another figure for child minding payments, not really the response I was looking for 50$ for entering a single figure seems expensive, especially when my family is at the bottom of the tax bracket and that 50$ would make a difference. Staff is really friendly hence the 2.5 rating, I will be choosing a different company next year unfortunately.
