Today I had a chance to tell MEMIC, my worker's comp company, how wonderful the team is to work with at Bayside Health. Everyone from the front desk staff to the medical assistants, rehab PA and MD plus occupational therapy are knowledgeable, professional, kind and keenly interested in improving the quality of your work experience. Steve, the occupational therapist, is a genius at teaching you how to stretch and, more importantly, how to remember the exercises without writing them down or looking at handouts. He uses a refined technique called "strain, counter-strain" to release the pain and improve mobility. Dr. Susan Upham used acupuncture on the outside of my ear to relieve the tightness in my left shoulder and I was amazed at how much lighter the shoulder felt. Barry MacGregor, the PA, was instrumental in helping me adjust my work hours and work environment to ensure that I can continue to improve. Working as a nurse for 44 years in acute and clinic settings, I have had my share of injuries but Bayside provides THE most comprehensive approach to achieving and maintaining wellness.
