Withholding information on taxes. Used my electronic signature to file taxes when not authorized and never received any copies of the taxes filed. Numerous phone calls made to Barbara and no phone call back. DO NOT USE HER!!

Barbara has taken care of our taxes for 3 businesses for going on 5 years now, she has always been very straight forward, punctual & makes us feel like we are a part of her family. We do not worry about anything getting overlooked with Barbara she crosses all the t's & dots all the i's. If you're looking for someone to take care of your business like it's their own Barbara is the person to have do it. she is also very competitive with her pricing!!

We needed help due to mistakes made by our original CPA on our 2016 taxes. We sought Ms. McNary for help. We had received a notice from the IRS stating we owed them $3900. Ms. McNary redid the tax estimate and showed us the IRS owed us another small refund. She faxed a letter with documentation to the Director of the IRS. The IRS dropped our balance owed to $2200. Ms. McNary said we need to file an amended return to take care of this once and for all. This all started in June of 2018. We had been told it would be done in August and it was not. Then after dealing with her not returning our phone calls or emails, I finally got a hold of her and she claimed she was going to have it done October 16th 2018. Did not happen. It is now December 31, 2018 and we just received a notice from the IRS that they have added $2000 in penalties and interest because 6 months later, Ms. McNary still has not filed our amended return. My husband had words with her and now we are going to go somewhere else. This CPA does not take tax issues seriously, has no remorse over anything further you suffer because she drags her feet getting things done, and she never apologizes to her clients for what she does to them. We have decided to go to H & R Block because even though they are a lot more expensive, they will get this amended return done immediately and we can clean up this mess. We have filed complaints over her poor business ethics and practices to the BBB and to the North Carolina State Board of CPA's. Do not use this CPA unless you want a lot more trouble and stress.
