It's so sad to see all these bad reviews. File a complaint with HUD local office, if you have unresolved issues. This is the department that oversees everything and anything concerning housing and property rental activities. Therefore, they are probably your best bet at getting your issues resolved when the property manager seems reluctant to respond to your complaints. Once you file a report with them, the department will investigate your issue. And if it is serious, HUD will fine or even bar the property management company from doing business again; it’s that serious! HUD handles complaints ranging from: Poor managementFraudPoor maintenanceHealth hazardsSafety issuesWithheld security depositsDiscrimination and so onBasically, if you have any housing or tenancy-related issue that you feel the property manager isn’t taking seriously, HUD is the place to go to.Keep in mind though that from all the issues mentioned above, discrimination is treated in a serious manner. According to the Fair Housing Act, current or potential renters should not be discriminated against; based on their race, color, disability, religion, gender, national origin and familial status. Therefore, if you feel like you were unfairly dismissed by a property management company (violating the fair housing law), report it to HUD.

Avoid at all costs. Very poor management. They do little to nothing to address the concerns of the residents. There has been an ongoing bear issues for several months leaving residents afraid to walk their dogs or take out their trash. My car was vandalized and Aster refused to do anything about it as usual. Neighbors are afraid to use dog park after a bear entered the enclosure. Police seem to visit frequently, one time with several cars and well armed officers. Trash and dog feces seem to be a real issue. The property manager also does nothing to address these concerns, saying that unfortunately something catastrophic would have to happen for anything to be done about the issue, which is absolutely careless. Maintenance employees will also enter your apartment with no warning even after asking to call ahead or notify prior to entering several times.Take it from a resident of 2 years, there are much better, newer places to live with about the same rent.

Lived here for quite sometime and was not happy with the management. Complained several times about the bears which surround the neighborhood and enter the dog park. Absolutely lazy and incompetent management.

aster at lely was the most *horrific* living experience i have ever had to endure! We had water damage and mold pre and post hurricane Irma. I notified the office and maintainance team. They did not properly remediate the water or mold damage. I was told that everything was fine for me and my family (young children) to live in. We literally lost all of our personal belongings due to mold damages. Even the insurance company acknowledged how bad the mold was in our home. Thank goodness i was persistent! I hired a 3rd party mold inspector that took several air samples, etc and the conditions were deemed absolutely *UNLIVABLE*! These people are still harrassing me for money, and i am having to seek legal action. We paid way too much in rent thinking we were living in a safe, gated, resort style community. Instead, we were living in a run down community with a lot of police activitity, mold, rude management, broken "amenities" (non-working gas grills, broken gas fire pit, dirty swimming pool), horribly unkept grounds littered with dog poop, noisy neighbors, hidden fees, etc. I am now renting a 3 bedroom water front property, private home on a safe neighborhood in a much better location for the same price. Vould not be happier to be out of Aster at Lely!

Do not move here. Its been horrible since day 1. They leave notes on your door like your a child instead of calling or emailing like professionals if they need anything from you. They change "rules" constantly. They claim they have all these amenities but you're only allowed to use them during ridiculous hours or not at all. The residents and our neighbors have been awful - loud music, drugs, dogs left on balconies for days suffering in the sun. Its so sad. No one cleans up after themselves or their pets. Please save yourself the hassle and headache.

Do not move here. I have an attorney now. They allowed residents not back ground checked and drug dealers to live next to me and other units. This is all on record with the police department. I would hear ambulance and firefighters and strange people in the hallways at all hours. I had no peace and they put me in an unsafe position and caused me stress. Those former residents knew where i lived. When I asked to be transferred they told me I would have to pay $500. They put me in an extremely dirty unit, found out they have radon gas, mold which they tried to have a tenant sign an addendum not to tell anymore. I had mold in my unit and all they did was keep wiping it off. Now trying to say I owe them 7 k for leaving with the appropriate notice with a cleaner unit then they put me in that I had to clean. They gave me the wrong key upon move in an cost me more money for movers. The leasing agent told me its not my problem im off the clock.They are nice until you move in. I asked about their reviews and was told they were untrue. That is false. I do not recommend this place. I even witnessed them yell at an elderly man when he was polite. They saw me witness it and then changed their tone. Their new manager is worse. She even took the garbage away close to residents on one side of the building. It is not handicap friendly. I can add more to this review. They will owe me money.
