GUIDANCE & KNOWLEDGE-COMPREHENSIVE FINANCE SERVICESIn the early 1990s Tony and I worked at the same company. I appreciated his honesty and integrity then and still do now. When I learned Tony had launched his firm I sought his expertise to prepare my income tax returns. He also helped me set up my initial ROTH IRA. A few years ago I had the opportunity to invest my entire 401K with an established firm and consult with an advisor that could provide me with guidance and knowledge to ensure I would continue my financial stability and reach my retirement goals. Tony met with me and we walked thru a few financial scenarios, ultimately selecting the one that meets my current needs. I like that Tony listens to my concerns and values my opinion. He offers comprehensive financial advice. I have confidence in Tony and his continuing to assist me with my investments and earning goals.Note, I live in Chicago and APC is in the burbs- I easily communicate with Tony & his team via email and phone.

WHOA! Talk about great service! I just got my tax return and surprise. APC found more deductions than I ever knew about. Being self-employed, the new health care forms were very confusing to me. APC shared a few good tools so that I could learn about how to deal with the ACA rules and guidelines. Even though I am not at a point in my life that I have money to put aside in a big investment plan, APC provided me with the information I need so I can understand how to start. Monthly newsletters have been really interesting and always teach me something that I don't know about money. Their whole team from the receptionist to the owner really cares about my success. The environment is friendly and professional. I highly recommend APC for tax advice or financial planning. They are the best!

APC definitely made fixing, filing, and understanding my taxes a lot easier. I recently went into APC when I realized the tax deadline was coming up and i needed to hurry to get them in. Having gone in there saved me so much time, money, and energy. They spelled everything out for me and took a major weight off of my shoulders. I hate tax season, APC makes it bearable.

I would highly recommend you look somewhere else for an accountant. Tony is a nice guy when you meet with him but that's when the good service stops. My wife and I met with him in person about my business and our personal accounting needs. He assured us that he could take care of everything and would email me in the next few days. I never heard from him again. I sent him 3 emails with no response. We sure do get A LOT of spam email from him though! Mary seems to be the one who does everything in that office. She's very good at responding to us but there seems to be a communication gap between her and Tony as she would never know what we had previously discussed with him. This is so frustrating to deal with! Tony initially set me up with an LLC, letting us know that it would cost $250. We got a bill a week later for over $700. When we asked Mary why it was so much more than what Tony quoted us she said, "that's just what it cost." Tony's recommendation of how to set up my business was dead wrong and is costing us thousands of dollars this tax season. When we asked about it, Mary says, "this is why we need to get you set up as an S Corp. right away." That was exactly why we went to APC Financial but Tony recommended against it. When we called to ask Tony about this he said that he would check his notes and call us back. We got an email from Mary the next day saying that he was busy and wouldn't be returning our call, apparently ever. After some research on my own I found a way to lower our tax bill this year by $3000. I thought I was probably wrong or it wasn't the right way to do it so we called Mary to verify. Sure enough I was right! When asked why her or Tony didn't catch it or offer it to us, her response was, "well sometimes we miss things like that when we're in a hurry." We let them know right then that we will not be using them anymore and I recommend you don't either.
