It is truly a shame that an individuals this skilled could run a business this poorly. The sum of my experience has been unnecessary summoning for paper documents (as PDFs do not suffice) and extreme uncertainty as communication between co-workers and customers is practically non-existent. To give three examples of my experience:1. While filing corporate taxes I was walked out the door assuring everything is fine, only for me to call two weeks later for an update to where I was told I need to bring in documents before the end of the following day to complete the filing because he was leaving the country for a few months. 2. I waited 1.5hrs to be assisted for personal taxes because they were taking people who they knew better before myself - a queue does not exist here, just relationships. 3. After assuming that my corporate GST/HST was filed I received a letter from the govt. regarding my overdue filing. I was unable to attend in person and attempted to reach out on a bi-daily basis to where my messages were not once returned. When I did reach someone I was told that they will call me back tomorrow with an update. 2 weeks of this I finally had to get aggressive over the phone and was informed that the person completing the taxes was assisting their ill spouse and a completion date was unknown. That day I re-booked my flights with a layover in Van, commuted 1.5hrs to the office and found the person handling my file sitting in their office with my file on their desk... and they just asked for more paper documents to complete the submission... I took my file and left, completing the filing at home in 20 minutes. I have taken my business elsewhere (while searching, I have been questioned regarding why I would do business with someone who organizes my documents in such a way, another indicator from an unbiased party on their quality of operational practices). I advise any business owners looking to start a relationship with a tax agency to ensure they have peace of mind by simply going anywhere else.
