It was a pleasure working for Altis Technology Recruitment for the past 2.5 years! Altis/Excel is a company (and family) I will always be proud to have been part of. What an incredibly passionate, hard working, energetic, diverse group of Account Managers, Recruiters and Managers - with truly the biggest hearts for their team(s), clients and candidates.

I find this company to be extremely sales driven. The staff (minus a few of course) do not seem to maintain a customer service centered approach whatsoever. They seem to have no care for the people they are working closely with. I found recruiter Marnie McCallum in particular to be quite rude. I spoke to her a few times on the phone and found her tone to be abrupt and unwelcoming - rushing me off quite a few times and interrupting me mid-sentence. I felt as though she did not care to learn about my job background whatsoever or intended to further understand what I was looking for but instead only cared about filling the position for her benefit of course. If you are looking to be treated with respect during your job search and looking for genuine help - this is not the place to come.

I have been at my current job for 4+ years now, but I still remember coming here when I was on the hunt, and feeling very disappointed with the lack of follow-through and the ensuing SPAM they sent afterwards. The phone interview went well... I met face-to-face with a few recruiters, and they raved about how well I would fit into an opening that they had. Then, not a peep. No replies to my emails. No other agency left me in the cold like that. To top it off, I distinctly remember receiving only -ONE- offer for a *temporary*, $11/hr job when I specifically said I needed full-time work only....and obviously at a much higher rate. What followed after that were some pretty sad newsletters that I did not sign up for, that were just odd rehashes of event postings from blogto or NOW or something. Was it meant to be a snide remark to whom they supposed was an unemployed, and perhaps, unemployable, person? That's probably pushing it, but seriously, go to an agency that will actually help you and not just have a facade of a well-run, corporate office. They only look the part.

Altis is the worst employment agency!!I accepted a job position through Altis to find out two days before i was supposed to start the new job..... that it was cancelled due to budget restrictions. I've signed a written contract with the date/time i was supposed to start along with salary and the hours of work. I had already re-signed from my current full-time job a week prior and was supposed to start this new position in 2 days. I spoke to the HR representative and they advised that their entire department is aware of this matter including their head office and that they will ensure that i will be employed before the end of the week. It's been a month now.... still currently out of work and looking for work and they have not reached out to me to help me find a new job. I am extremely disappointed in Altis for putting me in this position and not taking the necessary steps in looking out for their best interest for the client.

Had an interview, they said they would help me find a job - they literally did NOTHING. When I emailed the woman I was working with her reply was "oh, I'm not working on your case, but you can look at our job posting website and apply to jobs there" - literally no point to going in and talking to her since she did nothing for me, I didn't need someone to just tell me to apply to job postings; I can do that on my own! They do not help with any opportunities, don't recommend this place at all if you are going to a temp agency.

Melissa Gut and Marianne Iannaci are wonderful. They met with me in person and asked detail questions about what I'm looking for in my job search. They contacted me whenever they think a position will fit well with my background and got me into a great role. Would highly recommend!
