Overall Feedback:
I’ve only worked with this company for a little over a month so I can’t really say how they are to work with on an on going basis but I was not impressed by my experience. I was hired as a freelance bookkeeper in August with the understanding that I would work remotely. They wanted to set up a computer for me to access remotely. However their IT person couldn’t seem to get this figured out and the computer kept shutting off. I would have still been able to access and do the work if they had given me direct access to the accounting software. I’ve worked remotely as a freelancer for a national firm for several years and never had a problem as direct access to the accounting software is industry standard. Instead they cancelled my contract without notice I guess because putting in the extra effort would have been too much to ask. I have a real problem with employers who treat others in such a disrespectful and unthoughtful way. I wouldn’t recommend working with this company as they don’t conduct themselves in a positive and ethical manner.
