After posting a job online for a full time payroll employee, ADP contacted us in regards to their payroll services. While I understand the benefits their services may offer, our company decided that we wanted to handle our payroll completely in-house. ADP called our offices multiple times a day, using every snake-oil sales tactic you can think of to get past the receptionist; lying about who they were and the purpose of the call. Not a great way to make a first impression on a company. After kindly explaining that we were not interested, ADP said they were going to call my boss and let them know that I was not interested in performing the performance of the company. Again, nice way to make an impression. Threats are not a good way to get business, or get people to recommend your services.
