I have been getting my taxes done by David, at Accounting Services of York, for over ten years. In that time, David and his team have gone above and beyond for my family. Not only are my taxes always completed in a fast and thorough manner, but he’s always there to help at the drop of a hat. I no longer live in PA, but David will always do my taxes. The level of customer service here is unmatched and I tell everyone I know to come here. A+ rating all around!!

The first year I used this firm everything went great. The second year it was down to the wire on filing on time. I thought it may have been because David Riggs had been hospitalized. It was extremely stressful to me. Last year I can only relay what happened. I dropped off tax paperwork early and paid when it was completed. Unfortunately, another tax form was received late due to that company's problem. The day I received that paperwork I called and explained what had happened and that I would drop off to have everything reworked. It went downhill from there. It went from my getting a return to owing quite a bit. I was told that #1 it was due to error on the part of government insurance and I was told to get corrected figures. I personally sat down and went line by line filling in the figures and saw that there was no error. I emailed back and gave them this line by line accounting. They were going to look into it and two weeks went by. #2 I went in and this time was told that it was a "glitch" in the software that 50 to 60% of tax accountants use and that a call had been put into that company's tech people. David's associate was in the room when I was told this. After 4 or 5 weeks of emailing asking for status, the only reply I received was that it was being worked on. At this point I called six other tax preparation services and asked them about the "glitch". They had never heard of this "glitch" which was when it finally dawned on me that something was terribly wrong. I then called and said to have my paperwork ready to be picked up as I was going to someone else. When I got there I point blank asked if at least the PA return had been filed (I was told twice that it had been) and was told that nothing had been filed. This was close to seven weeks after the original papers were dropped off. I took tax documents to someone else and it was completed within 48 hours. I have no explanation as to why I was told there was a problem with healthcare form or why there was a "glitch" in tax software. Not to mention why I was told PA form was submitted, when it was not. I only hope that if you decide to use this firm that you do not encounter what I did.

I wouldn't take my tax documents anywhere else and I certainly wouldn't attempt to do my own! The staff morale is always so high, which to me says a lot about how a business is run and the quality of the service provided. A happy staff makes for happy customers!

Year to year David and his staff does great work. I don't have a "simple" tax return due to different sources of income ranging from multiple w-9s and 1099s but David and his team take care of me every year. Highly recommend.

I was referred to ASY by a friend after mentioning that my refund would dwindle every year. I tried ASY when Galen Riggs was still working and I been going back every since. From the first time till now the staff is friendly and fun. They know the tax laws! They have up to date computer systems. Quick and efficient. I'm a customer for life. Oh and they have really great ink pens. Good writing pens are hard to find.
