I worked for a company that did their payroll through Absolute Payroll, and unfortunately over the last year I misplaced their contact information. Upon contacting Absolute Payroll, a woman (who would not name hereself) answered the phone and stated that they don’t provide W2’s, and that only the original employer does.I explained to this woman that I did not have the company’s information, and she stated she could not give out the contact information. After politely asking her if she could contact the employer on my behalf, she became very, VERY rude and starting accusing me of being careless and unprofessional. In retrospect, I should have offered to sell her a mirror. Instead, I asked her how she suggested that I solve my dilemma, to which she answered “that’s not my problem, now don’t call back”.If you are looking for a 100% professional organization to complete payroll for your business, you may want to think about weighing other options if you have the ability to do so. Good luck.EDIT: it’s widely known that Absolute Payroll can’t give out employer contact information. Before the owner responds to this with the same blanket response, it’s best to understand that using that as an excuse for being rude and derogatory is anything but professional. In addition, it just makes the company look even worse.EDIT TO REPLY:Again, you missed the point. You berated a person that called you for assistance and, when confronted in a public view, there was still no apology issued. Your company does not seem to be customer focused. Please re-evaluate.
