I have been nannying for quite a while and have always used websites where I could find and communicate with families on my own. When it was time to look for a new family, the Nanny Joynt was recommended to me and I’m so glad I applied with them! I was really nervous to go through an agency since I had never done it before but I’m so glad I did! From the minute I met and interviewed with Trisha, I could tell she took placing nannies with families very seriously and I felt as though I was in good hands. She thoroughly interviews each family and nanny that goes through her process, and I felt the safest I ever have interviewing with and working with a family as their nanny. Trisha not only interviewed me on my experience, education, and beliefs about childcare, but she also made sure to ask what I value in a nanny job and in the family I would be employed with. After the interview, she asked me which open jobs I was interested in and went through my list with me, pointing out the families that she thought fit best with my personality and my values. I went on an interview with the family both Trisha and I thought I fit best with and I loved them immediately! After the interview, we set up a working trial, which was a really nice way to get to know the family and their child better and learn more about their daily routine and expectations, as well as mine. Then, the family decided to hire me and Trisha helped us write out a contract that fit everyone’s needs. I have been with this family for 2 months now and I couldn’t be happier with my placement! I would definitely recommend going through the Nanny Joynt, whether you are a nanny or a family looking for childcare!
