Client Review on Ballarat Health Services

Feedback:

Went to the Emergency Dept around 8.30pm on 26/09/19 with extreme pain in my right hip. Tried to tell the Doctor I have thrombophilia (I'm prone to DVT's and PE's and take blood thinners). The Doctor laughed and told me I didn't have thrombophilia dispite never seeing me before! I'm not supposed to take anti inflammatory medication but that's what he gave me. As for pain management, I was given endone which didn't work. He then gave me tramadol which didn't work either. He also gave me Valium for some reason which made me very light headed. At about 11.00pm I was still in a great deal of pain when he told me I was feeling much better and could go home! 24 hours later and I'm still in extreme pain and desperately need pain relief but I'm concerned I'm going to face the same Doctor with the same negligent behaviour if I go back to Ballarat Hospital. Where was the care and attention? Why wasn't my pain addressed before being I was told to leave? Shouldn't I have been given a CT scan? I've lived in a number of different countries and experienced different health services. This is the worst and most shocking experience I have ever had in a Hospital anywhere. What the hell do I do now? told me to take!
